ASC Industries, Inc. is a leading world manufacturer of new water pumps for automotive and light truck vehicles. We currently have immediate openings in our North Canton facility for part-time MATERIAL HANDLERS, all shifts.
The part-time Material Handlers are needed to help our workforce respond to the demands of the business by working flexible schedules to meet customer demands. The primary responsibilities for the Material Handlers are to load, unload and move materials throughout the warehouse by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Open containers.
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Load materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding when necessary to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Move materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area by forklift following QS9000 requirements.
- Count, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved or handled in system.
- Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
- Stack or assemble materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
- Perform routine tasks utilizing computer equipment.
- Responsible for proper housekeeping and inventory control.
- Perform appropriate inspections and maintenance of fork-lift equipment.
To be considered for the position, an individual must demonstrate the following competencies:
